The Nacra F17 is the true modern catamaran, there are big advantages to this 17, most boats of this size leave you trailing behind the bigger boats, not the Nacra F17. The speed and power are unprecedented for a catamaran of her size. The high pointing dagger boards enable you to sail high above the others on the windward leg. Tacking is easy as the F17 has fairly flat bottoms to the hulls meaning that she rides high in the water and the boards allow her to “spin” round with ease. When you are sailing off the wind, you can drive the F17 when all other boats have backed off, she has real volume in front of the front beam. The RX mainsail is totally controllable with quality Harken gear on mast rotation, Cunningham downhaul and mainsheet blocks, allowing you to flatten the main as required. The Harken mainsheet traveller glides with exceptional ease. Nacra “kick-up” rudders are a joy to use and the boards settle in just the position you place them, helping you on all points of sail.

The Harken jib blocks are mounted on the front beam so you have a spacious trampoline, larger that of other boats in this range.

Finally launch the spinnaker, now you have a real performance catamaran,You will think you are a sailing a boat much larger than the 17.
